Community Engagement Project

United Way Student Day of Service

April 29, 2017

This collaborative project with Drury, Evangel, OTC, Southwest Baptist and United Way of the Ozarks will focus on a single day of service in Northwest Springfield. Students will take an in-depth look at the Community Focus Report of Springfield and Greene County and work to address some of the community’s most pressing issues.

There are plenty of opportunities for community involvement and service throughout Springfield. Get involved with the Public Affairs Community Engagement Project to fight against key on-going issues facing our community.

The City of Springfield has identified key on-going issues facing our community such as food access and transportation, particularly in Northwest Springfield. MSU students, alumni, faculty and staff are taking the Public Affairs Mission to the streets of Zone 1 (Northwest Springfield) the week of Nov. 14-19 in an effort to help families overcome the challenges they face.
