Rachel Mack Robinson
Rachel Robinson will be inducted into the 2023 Missouri Public Affairs Hall of Fame.
Rachel Mack Robinson is the founder and president of DotCom Therapy (DCT), the leading pediatric teletherapy provider partnering with employers and schools across the nation.
Through her work as a speech-language pathologist, Robinson discovered a lack of accessibility and found many children, especially in rural areas, lacked access to quality services. Witnessing the barriers families faced in accessing quality therapy, Robinson turned to technology as a solution.
A third-generation entrepreneur, Robinson pioneered DCT in 2015 with the mission to “make therapy available to everyone, everywhere.” Innovatively providing therapy through video, she faced much doubt until a remote district in Alaska decided to try her unique approach. Combining virtual therapy with a traditional on-site approach, Robinson’s first partnership with the Lower Kuskokwim School District allowed her to prove the effectiveness and quality of teletherapy.
Over the last eight years, Robinson and her team scaled DCT to provide mental health, speech and occupational teletherapy to more than 500,000 students, in more than 400 schools and health systems across 41 states. DCT is one of the first companies to offer pediatric mental health services to both special education populations (those with an Individualized Education Plan) and the general student population in schools.
Focusing on quality above all else, Robinson has grown DCT to over 300 employees across the country. DCT became the first teletherapy company to offer employee status, health benefits and a 401(k) resulting in an industry leading provider retention of 97% year over year compared to around 50% for its peers.
Robinson has a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Missouri State University. She’s a children’s author, Inc. 30 under 30 winner, two-time recipient of Entrepreneur magazine’s 360 award, and the winner of Missouri State University’s “2022 Outstanding Young Alumni” award.
