Peter Liang
Peter Liang’s research and teaching interests include Asian studies, cross-cultural communication, linguistics, translation and China-American Studies. He has published roughly 12 academic articles and book translation chapters.
Professor Liang also is the author of four books, including A Brief Introduction of Chinese History and Culture (2001), which is popular in China among Western readers. In addition, Liang has contributed greatly to translation of technology information for local industrial enterprise groups, including China Motion-Picture Film Group, Haier Group, Qingdao Brewery Group, Qingdao Chemical Plant, Qingdao Refinery, Qingdao Cotton Mills and the Qingdao Rubber Group.
During 1999-2000, Liang served as the exchange professor at Missouri State University from Qingdao University and is currently teaching in the department of Modern and Classical Languages at Missouri State University.
