Heidi Mihm works for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Office of HIV/AIDS. She acts as advisor to the Supply Chain Management System project, which helps host nations increase the capacity for delivering essential lifesaving medicines and supplies as part of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, a five-year, $15 billion multifaceted approach to combating the disease in more than 120 countries around the world.
Prior to joining USAID, Mihm served five years in Central America working with public health and community development programs, including serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in El Salvador and working with non-governmental organizations. She also has worked on cross-cultural public health research studies in the U.S. for Stanford and Harvard universities.
Mihm received a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University and an M.Sc. in Development Studies from the London School of Economics with focuses on health policy and gender.
