Women's Issues on the Global Scene
A major human rights issue facing our world at the beginning of the 21st century is gender equity. Examples abound of societies where females remain second-class citizens at best, or all too often, sad victims of discrimination and violence. What are the most pressing problems in the area of women’s rights? What roadblocks exist to furthering gender equity and the advancement of women worldwide? What progress is being made?
