The Middle East has become a region vital to world security and prosperity. Therefore, the interest in the region is no longer merely intellectual in nature, but strategic, economic, and cultural. This panel will explore international relations related to the Middle East and address issues such as regional security, U.S. foreign policy toward the Middle East, transition to democracy, political violence and terrorism, political Islam, the prospects of peace and stability in the Middle East, the New Middle East and the future of the Middle East.
