American Business: Unity in Diversity

Since the United States is one of the most diverse societies in the world, it is essential that American businesses empower themselves to serve customers from an array of backgrounds. In an environment as diverse as the United States, it is essential that businesses reach across cultural boundaries in order to maximize their customer base. An employee who is fluent in Spanish, for example, could help a business communicate to customers who either do not speak English fluently or who are more comfortable speaking Spanish. This panel will discuss how businesses can expand their customer bases by building a workforce that is equipped to understand and interact with customers from many diverse American communities and around the world.
