Scott Estergard

Scott Estergard

Scott Estergard is a senior planner working for the Los Angeles District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In this role, Estergard works with teams of engineers, scientists and local communities to recommend, evaluate and develop solutions, such as ecosystem restoration, flood risk management, recreation and watershed planning for water resource problems.
 
Before moving to the desert southwest, Estergard worked on the Upper Mississippi River System and adjoining states. His experience covers aquatic ecosystem restoration, flood damage reduction, as well endangered species and environmental impact work.

Estergard served as a Peace Corps volunteer and natural resource manager in Moroccan national parks. He is one of the founding members and advisory board member of the High Atlas Foundation, created to establish community-based projects in rural Morocco.
 
Estergard received a Master of Engineering in Water Resources from the University of Arizona and has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. He and his wife, Joan, live in Cave Creek, Arizona.
