Independent television and video production company co-owner Carvin Eison discusses the PBS documentary, July ’64, as well as other works in progress. July ’64 details the violence that erupted at a street dance one hot July night after a routine arrest took a turn for the worse — and ended with the National Guard being called to a northern city for the first time during the civil rights era. July ’64 gives voice to the people who lived it and tells the story of three days of conflict and unrest that altered the course of history in Rochester, N.Y.
A special showing of the film will accompany Eison's remarks.
