Albert (Al) P. Carey is president and chief executive officer of PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay North America (FLNA) division. In this position, Carey leads the $12 billion snack and convenient foods business. Frito-Lay is PepsiCo’s most profitable operating division and the company’s largest North American business.
Sustainability spans the approach the company takes to deliver performance with purpose. Frito Lay is a recognized environmental leader with recent acknowledgements from the E.P.A., Greenpeace and several others. Carey leads his team to focus on four key imperatives: product, partners, planet and people.
During his presentation, Carey will highlight the goals and successes realized for the company, as well as share insights into Frito Lay’s focus on sustainability as it relates to the company’s planet imperative.
In addition to his corporate practice, Carey is a member of the Home Depot Board of Directors and the Board of Corporate Advisors to the National Council of LaRaza. Carey serves on the University of Maryland Board of Trustees, the Smith School of Business Deans Advisory Council at the University of Maryland and the Advisory Council of Portland State University Food Industry Leadership program.
