Dr. Harold Hodgkinson conducts research on demographics and education for the Center of Demographic Policy at the Institute for Educational Leadership. Additionally, he serves as senior advisor for the American Council on Education, a trustee at Hartwick College and a member of the Board of Overseers at Regents College in New York. He is the author of 12 books, three of which have won national awards and more than 200 articles, for which he was honored by the American Education Press Association. He also has been editor of several journals, including Harvard Education Review and Journal of Higher Education. Dr. Hodgkinson is widely known as a lecturer and analyst of educational issues. His consulting assignments have included 600 colleges and universities, numerous public school systems, state agencies, state legislatures, cities and corporations such as 3-M, Federal Express, IBM, General Motors, Atlantic Richfield, Burger King, Bank of America and Texas Instruments. In 1989, he was one of three Americans awarded the title of Distinguished Lecturer by the National Science Foundation. Dr. Hodgkinson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota.
