Erin Brockovich

Student Activities Council and Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity

The movie “Erin Brockovich” is a true story of a single mother who becomes a legal assistant and builds a case against Pacific Gas and Electric Company of California. Brockovich exposes PG&E’s illegal dumping of the toxic waste haxavalent chromium after the company attempts to purchase land from the residents affected. The contamination of ground water resulted in the poisoning an entire community and numerous cases of cancer. Brockovich’s impassioned involvement leads to winning one of the largest class action lawsuits in history against a multi-billion dollar corporation.
