12:00 - 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Around the world, signs of water trouble abound. Rivers are running dry, lakes are shrinking, and groundwater is being depleted. Climate change is altering the global water cycle. The question arises: can we meet the food, energy and water needs of our growing population, while at the same time sustaining the ecosystems that support our economies and the web of life on the planet?  Dr. Sandra Postel will explain that the answer is yes, but it will require a transformation in how we use, manage, and value freshwater.
