Andie Bottrell is a multidisciplinary artist. As an actress, Bottrell has been seen on stage and screen across the country, and she will be seen in the upcoming film “The Weight” starring Clayne Crawford.
Bottrell’s screen play, “Do What You Do,” won third place in the Comedy Division of the 2011 Fresh Voices Screenplay Competition, was an official finalist in the Hollywood Screenplay Competition and a top finalist in the Script Showcase. She has written, directed, edited and acted in several short films including the CAFF and AADA Alumni Film Festival selected short “Who is the Man in Black?” Her short film, “Mind of Mercer,” was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Experimental Short Film for the Perfect Spirit Film Awards at CAFF.
Bottrell’s poetry and short stories can be read in various publications online and in print. Her first solo art show, The Break-Up Art Show, premiered at BookMarx in 2016 and included more than 100 original paintings and two interactive “heartbreak journals” for patrons to use. Recently, her art was on display as part of a tabeau at the Springfield Art Museum for the 99x Bohemian Belle.
Bottrell studied art at Istituto Statale D’Arte M. Fabiani in Italy and is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NYC).
