Virginia Tallent is an assistant city solicitor for the the City of Cincinnati, Ohio. She represents the City of Cincinnati in affirmative litigation relating to Cincinnati's legal interests in eliminating public nuisance conditions and blight across its 52 neighborhoods.
She has expertise in Ohio property law, federally subsidized housing laws, Ohio landlord-tenant law, eviction defense and the federal Fair Housing Act. Prior to her current role with the City of Cincinnati, Tallent was an attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati, representing low-income tenants and tenant organizations in state and federal court.
Tallent graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor's degree in political science and from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She serves on the Board of Directors for a Cincinnati-area homeless shelter.
