Daniel Fisher is Assistant Professor of Bible at Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati and Research Affiliate at the National Humanities Alliance in Washington, DC. He holds a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining HUC-JIR, Fisher served as Project Director at the National Humanities Alliance. In this role, Fisher created and led Humanities for All, an initiative funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to build capacity for public engagement in humanities scholarship across U.S. higher education. Fisher continues to lead initiatives with NHA relating to publicly engaged scholarship in higher education and publishing.
