As co-founder and president of Pinchot & Co., Libba Pinchot’s (PhD) passion is supporting leaders to reinvent their organizations for resilience by empowering employees to innovate, turning risk into opportunities for a better world for all. She co-founded the Bainbridge Graduate Institute (merged with Presidio Graduate School; now Pinchot University), where MBA students develop into innovators bringing sustainability, social equity and prosperous resilience to their firms and the world.
Pinchot has facilitated dozens of employee-powered innovation programs for decades, while leading a permaculture learning center. Earlier roles included family systems therapist, biodynamic farmer and developing Stanford’s first computer-assisted education project. Her current research practice includes mentoring cross-organizational groups to accelerate solutions to systemic environmental/social problems. She has co-authored "The Intelligent Organization: Engaging the Talent and Initiative of Everyone in the Workplace" and authored the PhD dissertation, "Learning with Corporate Sustainability Leaders: Systemic Barriers and Collaborative Openings to Addressing Climate Change."
