Michael Lynch (PhD) is a professor and graduate director in criminology at the University of South Florida. His research examines green criminology, radical criminology, corporate crime and its control, environmental justice and racial/class biases in criminal justice processes. He has published about 21 books, 125 articles and 60 book chapters. He is considered the founder of green criminology.
Lynch has received lifetime research awards from the American Society of Criminology’s Division on Critical Criminology and Social Justice, and the Division on White Collar and Corporate Crime. His recent books include: Green Criminology and Green Theories of Justice (with M. A. Long and P. B. Stretesky; 2019, Palgrave-MacMillan); "Quantitative Studies in Green Criminology" (with S. F.
