Sarah Hood

Sarah Hood has been a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Santa Fe Community College since 2017. She received her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina and graduate certificate in Critical Digital Pedagogy and New Literacies from the University of Colorado at Denver. Her professional interests include the First-Year Experience and the impact of Generative AI on higher education. Since early 2023 Sarah has proactively sought leadership opportunities by conducting campus workshops, developing faculty resources, presenting at state, regional and national conferences and co-chairing SFCC’s Generative AI Committee.
