9:00 - 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015
PSU Ballroom East

Bertolt Brecht used his art as a call to action, urging citizens to be informed about social concerns and make proactive choices regarding those issues. What examples of this are seen today in the arts? How can the arts be used as an educational vehicle? How may they be effectively utilized to promote social betterment without alienating the audience? How may the arts impact communication and our ethical development, especially in this technological age? What new perspectives can the arts provide when dealing with ethical dilemmas? What is the appropriate response to the arts frequently being cut from school programming?
