Why do people die by suicide?

12:00 - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016
PSU Theater

This presentation will explore the latest research and theory on why people die by suicide. It will include a research-based discussion of the factors known to predict the desire to kill oneself, as well as the acquired ability to do so. The talk will also present the American Association of Suicidology’s model of risk factors for suicide, which are often used as a framework for conducting a “psychological autopsy.”
