A Springfield native, Cheryl Clay is the current president of the Springfield NAACP. Clay serves on several local and state executive boards: Missouri State Chapter NAACP (secretary), Council of Churches, Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Bartley Decatur Neighborhood Center, City of Springfield Housing Authority (commissioner role) and the Springfield Community Center.
Her passion in life is her commitment to social justice, specifically regarding children and those who are not represented with voices in positions of power.
