Business meets green

The impact of green spaces on communities and businesses has led to collaborative opportunities. The hyperlocal strategy of engagement between business and community can lead to integration that elevates both businesses and communities. The effects of such alliances create meaningful consensus, and the resulting benefits may provide improved management of resources, as well more connections between health and population. From composting to green architecture, businesses are building a united front supporting both self-health and environmental health. From Missouri State University’s Campus Garden to the university’s use of asphalt emulsion as a parking lot sealant, indicators show that communities and businesses are working cooperatively toward an ideal of shared responsibility.
