Mental health across generations
In the United States, one in five adults and teens are affected by mental illness, with a growing number of children diagnosed, as well. Each year, billions of dollars are lost due to serious mental illness, with over $10 billion inMissouri alone in recent years. Addressing mental health is a growing public health concern as the media portrays horrific acts committed by those with mental health issues. What is the impact of mental illness across generations? How does social media influence mental health? How may sustainable access to mental health services become a reality in American society?
