Global food security: The challenge and promise for higher education

The Deaton Institute is an organization committed to university programs with transdisciplinary approaches to understanding and finding solutions to global food security and ending extreme poverty in the world through university curricula reform, research and student experiences. Founder Brady Deaton will review the post-World War II involvement of universities in foreign assistance efforts of the U.S., and current educational and scientific contributions of the institute will be shared.
