John Raines is the Chief Commercial Officer at The Climate Corporation. With operations in the U.S., Canada, Europe and South America, Raines leads sales, account management, marketing and customer service and support for Climate FieldView™, the agriculture industry’s leading digital farming platform.
Raines has been involved in production agriculture throughout his life. Growing up in southeast Missouri (Senath), he spent his youth working in a family fuel business serving farmers. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a bachelor's degree in agricultural systems management and marketing. Prior to his current role, Raines was the U.S. customer advocacy lead at Monsanto, leading the development of U.S. advocacy campaigns on behalf of farmers and local community outreach efforts for farmers and ag youth. In addition, he led the formation of a field team responsible for servicing America’s most progressive farmers.
From 2002 to 2007, Raines served in several leadership roles at Monsanto, including general manager for the company’s Australian, New Zealand and Philippines business units, based in Melbourne, Australia.
