Prognosticating pedagogy: How will technology affect the future of education?

1:30 - 2:45 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2019
PSU 313

Technology is rapidly changing the landscape of American education. What will the school of the future look like? What are the current speculations about how technology will shape education over the next quarter century? For example, what will the role of the teacher be? Which skills and learning outcomes will we prioritize? What role will social relationships play in how students learn? How will educational equality among American students change? What will be considered best practices in education?  Perhaps most importantly, will these changes be a net gain or loss for the individual and for society?
