Drones: Not just an expensive toy with a camera
Unmanned aerial system technology and the increased use of drones have ushered in a new era of opportunities for research, recreation, surveying, industry and national defense strategy. From the beginning, drones have suffered somewhat of an identity crisis, with many discounting them as merely a passing novelty. How can drone technology achieve its full potential for scientific analyses for agriculture and natural resources? How do we ensure our privacy? What other uses of drones do you envision?
