The impact of digital technology on the arts, gaming and sports
Every aspect of our lives is impacted by digital technology, including our favorite types of entertainment. Is the use of technology enhancing your experience or do you find it disruptive? At sporting events, are endless reviews affecting the flow of the games or making them fair? It is getting more difficult to distinguish real vs. computer generated actors, musicians, painters, etc. As technology provides new opportunities in the world of entertainment for aspiring singers, composers and artists, what is gained? What is lost? How has “on demand” access impacted the way we experience entertainment? Are we watching the game or the jumbotron?
