Spencer Harris is an organizational and leadership development consultant. At present, he is the director of operations at Mostly Serious, where he focuses on daily operations and organizational development. In his free time, Harris co-hosts The Mixed Six Podcast, a popular podcast downloaded by thousands of listeners in more than 10 countries. It features segments about board games, pop culture and beer. In 2018, Harris co-designed and successfully produced Party Fowl: The Game of Drunk Ducks, a hit board game crowdfunded through Kickstarter.
Harris received his doctorate degree in communication studies from the University of Kansas in 2014, where his research focused on the cultural function of science fiction. After receiving his degree, he served as visiting assistant professor at Missouri State University.
