As CEO of the National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC), Amy Meuers provides executive leadership and vision in partnership with the board of directors, staff and Youth Advisory Council to engage young people as civically informed and engaged global citizens. Meuers is a champion for young people and under her guidance, NYLC continues to be a recognized leader nationally and internationally for its work in youth engagement and service-learning. Meuers is host of the weekly show, “The Power of Young People to Change the World” on VoiceAmerica Empowerment radio. For 18 years, she has upheld and promoted values around servant leadership, youth voice and service to community.
Meuers received her master’s degree in organizational leadership from Regis University in Denver and her bachelor’s degree from Globe University in Bloomington, Minnesota. She has written extensively on service-learning and youth leadership, and spoken to audiences in the United States, Japan, Taiwan and Qatar.
