United Way of the Ozarks
Liz Wertz is the AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison at United Way of the Ozarks. Her role includes coordinating volunteer events, providing referral services to workers and their families through unemployment and crisis events, and working with local union groups to contribute to initiatives that improve support systems for workers and their families. Liz is a recent graduate of Missouri State University and holds a degree in Sociology and a minor in gender studies. During her college career, Liz helped establish Paws to the Polls, a nonpartisan campus initiative to increase civic engagement with a focus on voter participation and voter literacy. She is a member of the League of Women Voters of Southwest Missouri.
