Charting a Course to Global Food Security

As defined at the 1996 World Food Summit, food security exists when “all people, at all times, have physical and economic access to sufficient safe and nutritious food.” Diminishing world hunger requires not just the resources to make food, but resilience in the systems of production, distribution, logistics as well as climatological and socio-political challenges. How can these various dimensions continue to adapt to meet the needs of the global population?  How can technological developments overcome political obstacles, misinformation, or social and emotional prejudices?
