Sheila Boyington, P.E., is the co-founder of Ready for Industry and Learning Blade. Ready for Industry® address career preparedness for the near-term job seeker – from late high school students through adults for the five highest demand industries. These systems are now part of eDynamic Learning. Learning Blade®—system of interactive online lessons and printable at-home activities for 5th to 9th graders that has been validated by Battelle to increase awareness and interest in STEM careers. These systems have multiple statewide contracts currently and used all across the country. She was also the co-creator of ACT-acquired KeyTrain® for WorkKeys® which has been hailed as the most effective system for improving basic skills, used by millions of students/clients in high schools, community colleges, one stops and major corporations throughout the United States and abroad.
Sheila serves as the Board Chair for Erlanger Health, a multi-state billion dollar health care system. She has also served as the National States Chair for Million Women Mentors—helping to launch, grow and lead the state-level mentor network with State Chairs and Steering Committees in more than 40 states—contributing to the national, cross-sector conversation on STEM and workforce development. Sheila is an Athena Award winner among many other recognitions and a Professional Engineer, and holds a Master’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida. Sheila worked for environmental firms such as Black & Veatch and Parsons Engineering prior to founding Thinking Media. Sheila and her husband Dr. Dane Boyington are the proud parents of two accomplished young women.
