Megan Drew

Clinical Psychologist
United States Air Force

A native of San Diego, CA, Dr. Megan Drew earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Missouri State University in 2017, where she also competed as a Division I field hockey athlete.  While at MSU, Dr. Drew was a member of Dr. Adena Young-Jones’ Educational Psychology Research team, and found an appreciation for how research can inform clinical practice.  Driven by her passion and interest in both mental health and athletics, she earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Sport and Exercise psychology from the University of North Texas in 2024.  For her doctoral dissertation, Dr. Drew examined the relationships between social support, self-compassion, and resilience and the mental health and wellbeing of Division I male collegiate athletes.

Dr. Drew now serves as an active-duty, clinical psychologist in the United States Air Force stationed at Dover AFB in Delaware, and utilizes her expertise to support the mental health and resilience of our nation’s military members.  Outside of her professional work, Dr. Drew finds renewal exploring national parks alongside her golden retriever, Duncan, challenging herself both physically and mentally at her local CrossFit gym, and prioritizing time with her support system at local trivia and bingo nights!
