Christian “Chris” Schreiber is an innovative, higher education cybersecurity expert with nearly 30 years of experience supporting institutions of all sizes. His leadership as CISO at the University of Chicago and the University of Arizona, along with strategic roles at Mandiant/FireEye and SunGard (now Ellucian), has been pivotal in advancing flexible cyber resilience strategies across numerous organizations.
Chris is a staunch advocate for a cybersecurity strategy that extends beyond traditional defense-in-depth, championing pragmatic approaches that balance proactive prevention, effective mitigation, and sustainable operations. Chris’s passion for helping higher education institutions strengthen their cybersecurity capabilities led him to create CampusCISO in 2021.
