Program Coordinator
Missouri Organic Association
Jackie Casteel currently serves as a program coordinator at Missouri Organic Association, where she has experienced over 7 years of ecologically minded sustainable food systems. Her role with the USDA's Midwest Transition to Organic Partnership program is focused on meeting increased consumer demand for organic foods by providing technical assistance and wrap-around support for transitioning and existing organic farmers. Past nonprofit work includes production manager at True False Film Fest, garden nutrition educator with the Missouri Healthy Foods AmeriCorps program, and outreach coordinator for KOPN Community Radio, where she currently hosts Rootin’ Tootin’ Radio most Sundays from noon-3 pm. As Jackie actively transitions her homestead into a forest farming operation, she is deeply committed to applying the regenerative practices she has learned from the MOA farming community.
