According to the Organic Trade Association, sales of organic foods have more than doubled over the past 10 years in the United States. The upward trend toward organic farming is in part driven by consumer’s rising environmental awareness and the growing need for healthier and sustainable food alternatives.  Organic farming is a holistic approach that prioritizes soil health, biodiversity, and resource regeneration.  However, this practice also comes with some drawbacks and raises questions within the framework of resilience, both agriculturally and for the consumer.   How is the organic food business successfully branding to meet consumer needs?   How does the industry curb deceptive claims – is the organic label trustworthy?  Are organic space requirements sustainable?  What strategies can help balance the cost of organic production with competitive pricing?  In what ways is organic farming leading the way in community engagement and resilience?
