Ozarks Alive
Kaitlyn McConnell is the founder of Ozarks Alive, a cultural preservation project that documents the region's people, places and history. Since Ozarks Alive's inception in 2015, McConnell has written hundreds of articles sharing the region's story, and has published three books including "The Ozarks Pie Project Diary," a cookbook that reflects local food culture. McConnell's work resulted in her selection for the Missouri Division of Tourism Media Navigator Award in 2024.
