Ronda Burnett has been a Community Conservation Planner with the Missouri Department of Conservation - Southwest Regional Office for twenty years.

She holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University and a Master of Urban, Environmental, and Land Use Planning from the University of Kansas. 

Ronda authored the award-winning reference manual, Conservation Planning Tools for Missouri Communities, published as a guide for urban planners in 2018. She also served as an editor of the Grow Native! publication, Native Plants for Stormwater Management Projects – Species Selection for the Lower Midwest, which was published in 2025.

Currently, Ronda is a member of the American Planning Association, the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Missouri Community Forestry Council, and Chairs the Missouri Prairie Foundation’s Grow Native! Committee.
