Teach your children well

1:30 - 2:45 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015
PSU 313

“You, who are on the road, must have a code that you can live by.” How do we instill ethics in our children? Where should ethics be taught - school, home, religious institutions? To be effective citizens, children need to learn how to navigate issues, big and small, in their own lives and in the wider world. But, in a pluralistic society, how do we teach our kids what it means to be “good”? How do we teach tolerance in a multicultural society that is diverse in race, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation?
