Fr. Mark Beckman is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Nashville and currently serves as pastor of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Franklin, Tennessee. Prior to 2002, he served in a number of parishes in Middle Tennessee and spent eight years in secondary education, including six years in educational administration at Father Ryan High School in Nashville. He has served on a number of diocesan boards and, for 13 years, directed the Catholic Youth Office of the Diocese of Nashville.
Beckman received a master's in religious studies from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium in 1988, and a bachelor's in history from St. Ambrose College in 1984.
He is an avid hiker and backpacker, and he enjoys exploring the natural world.
