Depression, dementia and decline: Aging in America
Today, senior citizens are living long enough to experience age-related physical and mental health issues, including depression, dementia and difficulties with financial decision-making. How may healthcare costs be balanced for the aging without sacrificing growth and development? Should there be a dollar limit on how much medical care one can receive during a lifetime? What can be done to educate both seniors and their caregivers to recognize common age-related health issues, including depression and dementia? What legal changes may be necessary to protect senior citizens from financial and healthcare fraud?
