Arlene Carroll’s teaching career spanned 36 years with the Monaca School District, where she taught middle school and high school math. She also worked as a reviewer for the National Board Teacher Certification program. While continuing to teach at Monaca, she was hired as an adjunct professor at Robert Morris University. She is still employed there as an adjunct professor in the mathematics department. At Robert Morris University she teaches a diverse group of students, many from other countries.
Carroll has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Slippery Rock State University in PA, with a certificate to teach mathematics to students in grades 7-12. She also has a Master of Education Degree in Secondary School Guidance from Westminster College, New Wilmington, PennsylvaniaCarroll is an active member of the Jacob Ferree Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She is chairman of the American History Contest for her chapter. She currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA, with her husband of 35 years, John L. Carroll.
