We are bombarded with email, Google searches and YouTube videos. Now add spam, calls, Facebook posts, tweets and texts. It leads to burnout, shrinking attention span and information overload. This describes the mindset of many whom you are attempting to influence: customers, friends, colleagues, neighbors and family. For one who is committed to delivering a meaningful, memorable message, the question is: “How can I cut through the noise so my message is heard?” According to neuroscientists, psychologists, theologians, sociologists and marketers, the answer is simple: storytelling. How do we harness the power of story in our sound bite world? It’s time to bring back story time.
