Grace Goodeagle

Grace Goodeagle is a former chairman of the Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma. She was appointed by Governor Frank Keating to the Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission and President Ronald Reagan to National Advisory Council on Indian Education.

Goodeagle is listed in World Who's Who of Women. She has been a speaker at American Indian Day at the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C. and is a former U.S. Senate press aide, an editorial writer for the Joplin Globe and a producer/moderator for American Indian radio and television programs in the Denver area.

Goodeagle is a member of the Heart of the American Indian Women’s Network and former member of the Chaplains Association for Native Americans. She serves on the Board of Directors for L.E.A.D. (Local Environmental Action Demanded) Agency and the Ottawa County Health Department Senior Companions.

Goodeagle has received the Distinguished Service Award, American Indian Society of Washington, DC and AARP-OK Indian Elder Honors Award. She enjoys traveling throughout North and South America and abroad.
