Tara Tran came to the U.S. as a Vietnamese refugee in 1975. By 2004, she was the first Vietnamese DIRECTV agent to successfully penetrate the Vietnamese community of more than 50,000 families in 50 states. Out of 2,500 agents in the U.S., Tran received an achievement award as No. 2 Agent of the Year in Quality Customers Assurance in recognition of the top quality technical and proactive services that are so valuable to clients.
She continues to display a passion for finding technological solutions, focusing on the latest online streaming technology of IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) platforms – the VietTV24 app. This is a Vietnamese-specific app that allows Vietnamese all over the world to watch Vietnamese TV channels on their mobile devices and smart TVs. VietTV24 has more than 600,000 downloads and broadcasts more than 20 channels globally. Currently, Tran continues to develop more advanced and better technology to serve clients worldwide. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing from California State University, San Francisco.
