Building community trust

All times listed are central time (CT).

Numerous recent events across America have highlighted areas where citizens’ trust in their communities and leaders has waned. This diminishing trust is the result of decisions and actions related to a myriad of societal issues: the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines, law enforcement, race relations, education, partisan politics, LGBTQ+ issues and more. These issues have contributed to an unprecedented rise in tension and disunity among American citizens. How and why have Americans arrived at this juncture? More importantly, how can communities come together and rebuild the trust that has been lost? What groups are responsible for initiating change on the local, state and national levels? What policies need to change or be enacted? What can one individual do to promote the unity that will strengthen America?
