Nancy Williams

Programs Director
Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, MO

Nancy grew up in Michigan, then received an MS in geosciences from the University of North Carolina and worked as a geologist for 20 years. When she moved to Springfield, she also became involved with the Habitat for Humanity mission for affordable housing and has worked for the local affiliate for 19 years. She is currently Programs Director and works with community members who want to improve their housing either through Habitat's unconventional path to homeownership, or through owner-occupied home repairs.

She is also an advocate for Springfield's unique take on neighborhoods and is president of the Delaware neighborhood, vice-chair of the Neighborhood Advisory Council, and vice-chair of the Community Partnership of the Ozarks' Housing Collaborative. She has also served as a member and chair of the City Utilities Board, and has worked in various staff and volunteer capacities for the Geological Society of America. She lives with her geologist husband and three cats in central Springfield.
