Dany Lacio

Equality Organizer (Springfield)
PROMO - Equality in Missouri

Dany Lacio's (he/they) life story is a powerful testament to resilience, advocacy, and a profound connection with nature. Diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at 28, Dany's battle with the illness was compounded by their journey as a trans masculine individual facing estrogen-positive cancer. This experience ignited a fierce determination to live authentically and fight societal injustices.

Armed with dual Master's degrees in Nonprofit and Civic Leadership and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership, Dany has become a relentless advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, racial equity, and disability justice, striving to dismantle systemic oppression. Dany is also a board member for The GLO Center and START (Springfield Transgender Ally Resource Team).

Outside of their advocacy, Dany finds solace in nature, hiking rugged trails and skydiving, drawing inspiration from the natural world. Dany's journey stands as a testament to the power of resilience, authenticity, and unwavering determination to build a more just and inclusive world.
